Matthew J. Cowan

Matthew J. Cowan is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law (J.D. 2006) and received a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2003. As a member of Miami's International and Comparative Law Review, he authored an article concerning the implications of the Americans with Disabilities Act on foreign-flagged cruise ships after the United States Supreme Court ruling in Spector v. Norwegian Cruise Line.

During his final year of law school, Matthew was a Certified Legal Intern in the Domestic Violence Division of the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted defendants on behalf of the State of Florida. After moving from Miami to New York, he worked for the commercial litigation firm Gabor & Marotta, LLC.

Matthew is admitted to the Florida Bar, New York Bar, and New Jersey Bar. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the District of New Jersey.
